1. Apply petroleum jelly (e.g. Vaseline) to the bottom tracks.
2. Cabinet may be out of square or underheight. Check and correct.
3. Check slat length - they should be free to move about 3mm up-and-down. This allows for slight variation in slat length and cabinet height. If the slats are hard up against the top track, then the tambour will "bind". In the latter case, the slats need shortening or the cabinet roof needs raising, whichever is easier. |
