Plastic Fantastic at Rotalac
17 students successfully complete Polymer Processing NVQ Level 2 programmes.
Cheshire-based shutter systems, extrusion and injection moulding specialist, Rotalac Plastics Ltd, recently boosted its technical competencies by undertaking an extensive programme of NVQ training for staff in various production roles across the business.
By the end of 2005, 17 staff had been awarded Level 2 NVQs in Polymer Processing and Related Operations in a variety of disciplines including extrusion profile and sheet, product assembly and production leader. The training, which consisted of workplace assessments and formal assignments over a period of seven months was supported internally by Ian Milligan (Manufacturing Manager), David Kellock (Quality and Health & Safety Manager), Tommy Hughes and Joe Takacs.
